SITC PROSPECTUS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS OF E-COMMERCE

1. SITC Overview

Suzhou Institute of Trade & Commerce (SITC) is a public full-time higher vocational college affiliated to Jiangsu Education Department. It is located in Suzhou, a historic city, also renowned as “paradise on earth”. It is in the north area of Suzhou International Educational Park, facing Shangfangshan National Forest Park in the south and the Shihu beauty spot of national Taihu beauty spot in the north. The environment around the college is natural and charming. It is awarded as Jiangsu Province High-level higher Vocational College with Chinese Characteristics.

SITC covers an area of 820 mu, with a construction area of nearly 270,000 square meters. It has 8 secondary teaching units, including School of E-commerce and Logistics and School of Textile and Clothing and Art and Media with 10428 students.

SITC endeavors to realize a perfect industry-education integration college-running system, an efficient college-enterprise cooperation mechanism, an in-depth education and teaching reform and the continuous improvement of college-running indicators and comprehensive strength. SITC has been awarded the first grade in the comprehensive evaluation of local colleges in Jiangsu province for three consecutive years.

2. Type of Enrollment

Three-year international degree students

Students who have completed the credits and met the graduation requirements are allowed to graduate.

1. Applicants should be non-Chinese citizens of “Belt & Road” countries holding valid foreign ordinary passports;

2. Having senior high school graduation certificate or equivalent education level;

3. Above 18 years old, with independent ability to study and live; having good conduct with physical and mental health;

4. Having enough financial support to maintain basic expenses;

5. Language proficiency certificate: English proficiency certificate (equivalent to IELTS 5.0);

6. Applicants who cannot provide language ability proof can take the English test organized by SITC before admission. Qualified test results can be used as language ability proofs.

5. Application Documents

1. Duly-filled Application Forms for International Students issued by Suzhou Institute of Trade & Commerce;

2. Scanned copies of passport with personal information (valid for more than two years);

3. Physical Examination Record for Foreigners (recent photos required) or physical examination form issued by public hospitals in host countries;

4. Certificate of high school gradation certificate and transcript (submit translated versions in English and get them notarized if the diploma and transcripts are written in other languages)

5. Bareheaded photos in 2 inch (white background);

6. Certificate of No Criminal Record (submit translated versions in English and get them notarized if certificates are written in other languages)

7. English version of family Economic Guarantee Certificate (a copy of the valid identity certificate of the guarantor is required);

8. English proficiency certificate (equivalent to IELTS 5.0) or take the English test organized by SITC;

9. Scanned relevant materials to prove comprehensive ability, such as Chinese Language certificates, awards certificates or recommendation letters.

1. Download The Enrollment Catalog for International Students of Suzhou Institute of Trade & Commerce;

2. Sending application materials to szjmhzc@szjm.edu.cn;

3. SITC reviews the materials;

4. SITC interviews applicants through the internet or other ways;

5. SITC sends scanned pre-admission notice to the candidates. SITC will send the admission notice and visa application form (JW202) after the candidates have payed for the registration fee;

6. Applicants apply for X1 visa with demanded materials;

7. Applicants register in SITC within required time;

8. SITC checks applicants’ application and admission materials;

9. Physical examination;

10. SITC tests the applicants’ language level and learning ability;

11. Registration;

12. Students pay for the tuition and accommodation fee.
